Atlantic City Boardwalk in 1919

 
 

Atlantic City put their name on the map when the decision was made to build a railroad. It connected thousands of tourists to the East Coast of the United States. As you can see from the video, Atlantic City attracted a numerous amount of people to visit . Noticibly, there are not a lot of African-American in the footage. However, African-American have been a part of Atlantic City's population since it established itself in May 1, 1854.
